Opposites Attract???

Well, I deleted my previous blogs, for all you readers hoping to read a bit and chuckle. Seems that my hubby can't appreciate my humour and takes any topics related to football very seriously. I still don't feel his affection for football.

So interesting how they say that opposites attract. In fact, I said it in our wedding speech.
Yup, our interests are as contrasted as black and white. Or Winter & Summer. Or Football & Piano. Or Pearl Jam & Beethoven. How the heck does that happen?

Rudy and I are complete opposites as well, it is very wierd how that happens. I guess that is what what friends and children are for... to do the things you love with other people too.
And you do not always have to agree with each other.
Just try to agree to disagree, instead of argue about it... (whatever IT is)

I liked your previous posts, thought they were funny! Wow, I guess Dave really does take his football very seriously if he couldn't handle the humour in it?? What about being able to express your own opinions - I think you were just stating your mind! Tell him he can start his own blog then about how much he loves football. Men!! Dave - sorry if you're reading this, hope you are not mad at me :-) By the way, that cartoon you have here now, that was done by Shannon Burns, who was one of our groomsmen! I think having opposite interests in a marriage is not necessarily a bad thing, but it's good to have some common interests too - isn't that photography for you guys? Speaking of photography, you should post some of your works of art - or just random photos of whatever you want - on here sometime. :-)

It's really encouraging to hear your comments, Monika and Tanya. Thanks so much! That's funny that I ended up using Shannon's cartoon! He's a celebrity! :) My brother should consider doing that. He's got PAGES of stuff.

Jason and I have a lot of things in common, but we also have a lot of different interests too. Personally, I think it would be boring it we were identical (it would be like falling in love with myself!) We try to give each other the freedom to do those "different" things with other friends, but we also try to do things the other one likes together too .... he's my best friend and I prefer his company to other peoples, and he seems to really like when I take an interest in his interests. So a bit of separateness and a bit of just doing it 'cause! One area we really differ in is movies .... we have very different tastes ... though we do have a few genres we both like (like hiest movies!) .... so we let the other go without us, or we alternate getting to pick movies ... but honestly, I don't like this, because he sits there an closes his eyes and cringes during my movies, and it just takes some of the fun out of it! So I mostly go on my own (which, frankly, is one of my favorite things to do!).

My advice, mix it up!! You never know, you might be a big football fan 20 years from now!! (yah, it might take that long!!)
