Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

As soon as Halloween ended, I wanted to put up our Christmas tree. Dave thought that was too early, and insists we wait until Dec.15th. So, we compromised (there's that word again!) and agreed upon Dec.1st. So, this Friday, our house becomes festive!

Let's take a survey.......When do YOU put up your Christmas Tree?

So, here I am sitting watching the snow bowl on Monday night football, wondering when Mich will come to my office so I can tell her where the tree is.... Then I check her Blog and there is the question, when should it go up... I think I might make her wait now.... I wonder how long she will be able to stand it...

Only 4 more sleeps Dear! This Christmas Tree will be the prettiest one on the block. It'll be our Love Fern!

I usually put it up Nov 1 , but now that I want a real one I have to wait a little longer. But the rest of the decor goes up, and the music starts as long as Rudy is not around. Dec 1 for music with Rudy is okay.
I would decorate earlier but Rudy says Nov 1 is the earliest.
I always say that the house could be dressed in a Christmas costume for Halloween, but it never works.

When we put our tree up seems to vary from year to year. I think Dec 1 sounds like a good time though - that way you have 1 month to enjoy it. I think I may haul our's out of the basement too this weekend and set it up.

Hey Tan, Sounds like our house! I've been playing the Xmas CD's since Nov.1st. Last Friday, though, I just bought a new CD from Starbucks Coffeehouse called 'Santa Baby'. It tops my list of FAVORITES! I'd highly recommend it, if you love the old time goodies like Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and Billie Holiday.

When should a tres come down?

I take mine down after my birthday, i guess this time may be on my birthday, as its easiest to do it on a weekend.(Jan 7th)

I roared with laughter when I read you "love fern" comment!!! I loved that movie!!

Well, usually, due to difficult small hands to control, our tree usually has gone up 2 days before Christmas and come down 1 day after! The other decor goes up end of November. I got everything up this past Friday, the tree is standing and lite as of Saturday, but still needs decorating. My garlands etc will stay up until in February, but the tree will come down by New Years Day.

Once everyone has their tree up we should do a tour of everyones house and check out the trees and decor!! I'd love to see what everyone does!!
