Grease

Last nite, Dave took me to see the musical Grease! I know, I'm a 'musical-loving nerd'. Who cares, I love it! Check out the bald-headed guy in the picture Dave took as the announcer said several times "All cameras will be confiscated. Please turn off all devices." Luckily I got to sit behind Howie Mandel there, but Dave was stuck behind Marj Simpson. We badly wanted to ask her to lower her curly pony-tail but couldn't quite articulate how to gently do that. Thankfully, there were 2 open spots after Act I, so we moved over to those seats for Dave's viewing enjoyment.

Today I had the priviledge of baby-sitting my cutie-pie nephew Marcus. He's all smiles and at the age of 2, he's as cute as a button. That is, until he had an accident in his diaper. Whoa! In an effort to clean him up, I was gasping for fresh air in another room and held my breath everytime I went to the bathroom to try to help him get cleaned up. I'm no synchronized swimmer, though, and could only last a few seconds before dashing back into a clean room to refresh my oxygen supply about 8 times. I'm sure I dry-heaved more than a cat with hairballs, and tried everything to prevent myself from throwing up in my mouth. Next time, I'm cutting him off from having seconds on fruit. Or thirds and fourths, as it may be. Oops!

LOL! What until you're a mom and have your own kids bums to clean, you won't even blink an eye. Believe me, you do get used to it!
Sounds like Grease would have been fun to go to...minus the people sitting in front of you, good thing you got to change seats.
See you in 2 weeks, amiga! :)

I love musicals too! How cool you got to go to Grease!! *Note to remember to lower my curly pony tail at the next musical I go to!!*

I've been changing poopy diapers for ... oh, gosh, 10.5 years ... and well, you get used to it ... but there are still certain ones taht are just, well, stronger then the others and .... well ... honestly, though, I think changing your own babies poopy is not so bad as changing someone elses kids!

Something for me to look forward to with snickers. Darren says he won't change poopy diapers but I know he will, since it's his child!

I am very jealous! Grease is my most very much favorite musical ever, but I didn't want to go by myself, and Rudy won't go with me.
Maybe there will be another time.

Thanks for the runts, i hope to enjoy them when i am feeling better.

hmmm, perhaps we can have a collection/pool of red purses between the two of us and we can share them!! I'm behind though, I haven't even got one yet! Perhaps if I can get out today I'll go check out the Boe's purse!!

HI Kate,

Yup, Rainbow Stage put on Grease. Krist Sawka played Sandy, Peter Huck was Danny, Rachel Fischer played Rizzo (and did a great job!), Adrienne Merrell was Frenchy, Keeley Xavier was Jan, Heather Jordan played Miss Lynch. Do you know any of these folks?

I meant Kristi, not Krist.

I know Rachel Fischer, we used to dance together, but I've never heard of any of the others.

Interesting, very interesting.
